2018
2018 was an almost perfect year in West Side Paso Robles. Early rains refreshed the vines. A classic summer was then followed by an optimal harvest season resulting in the best the vines could offer.
The 2018 Ceunant wines are resting patiently in bottle after 24 months in barrel. The wines are drinking fabulously now and will age seamlessly for years to come.
Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre
The 2018 Grenache is vibrant and focused displaying cherry, kirsch, and brambleberry notes while remaining refined and elegant.
The 2018 Syrah is a powerhouse! Deep and brooding it expands on the palate revealing telltale blackberry, currants, and chocolate.
Our limited production 2018 100% Mourvèdre is unique and captivating, reminiscent of a great Miocene bear prowling the forest in search of wild berries.
2019 Grenache
The 2019 Grenache consists of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre all from a single vineyard on the the prized limestone of the Willow creek district AVA in westside Paso Robles. Whole berries were co-fermented before gentle pressing in a basket press. The wine spent 12 months in large format neutral French barrels and is now aging gracefully in bottle.
